At Ultimate Veterinary Clinic, we recognise the significance of your pets and the place they hold in your family, and are committed to providing the best possible care and support at all times. We offer a reliable, trustworthy team delivering the highest standard of healthcare and advice for you and your pets. Our highly qualified and experienced team is lead by Dr Bob Cavey who has been in the industry for over 30 years. Our Veterinarians have special interests and experiences in small animal medicine, dermatology, oncology, dentistry, ophthalmology, orthopaedic and advanced soft tissue surgeries. Our animal health care team will offer education, advice and care to ensure your pet has the longest, happiest and healthiest life possible. We welcome you to bring your pet to meet our team at anytime.
Bob graduated from the University of Melbourne with honours in 1989. After working for 6 years in a mixed animal practice in Mansfield Victoria, he travelled overseas during which he worked extensively in the United Kingdom. In 1997 Bob started a new Veterinary Clinic in Rowville which grew rapidly, and successfully managed it for 12 years. In 2010 Bob was admitted as a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists and completed the examination in Small Animal Surgery.
Bob has also been an Accredited Aqis Quarantine Veterinarian for more than 19 years and started Ultimate Veterinary Clinic in 2011.
Bob enjoys small animal surgery and playing with his French Bulldog, Bentley.
Dr Andrea joined our team in June 2020. She has been working in Melbourne for a small time after returning home from 4 years working in the UK. She has a keen interest in small animal surgery, particularly orthopaedics and reconstructive surgery, and always looks forward to having cuddles with our patients both big and small.
Originally from Queensland, she can usually be found exploring Melbourne's restaurants and scuba diving on her days off. She is joined by Spartacus, an English cat who is loving his new Australian home.
Amy has been nursing for over five years starting at Ultimate Vet over one year ago. She has four fur babies at home 3 Aussie Bulldogs named Manuka, Maple, Hulk and a pug named Chopper. Amy has a great passion for canine reproduction which she has helped breed bulldogs and Dogue De Bordeauxes nearly all her life. She is also involved in Mini Bulldog Rescue Group who rescue bulldogs and help rehome them for over one year, hence her love for the breed so much.
In her spare time Amy loves to catch up with friends and take her dogs out on adventures to the country.
