Bob graduated from the University of Melbourne with honours in 1989. After working for 6 years in a mixed animal practice in Mansfield Victoria, he travelled overseas during which he worked extensively in the United Kingdom. In 1997 Bob started a new Veterinary Clinic in Rowville which grew rapidly, and successfully managed it for 12 years. In 2010 Bob was admitted as a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists and completed the examination in Small Animal Surgery.
Bob has also been an Accredited Aqis Quarantine Veterinarian for more than 19 years and started Ultimate Veterinary Clinic in 2011.
Bob enjoys small animal surgery and playing with his French Bulldog, Bentley.
Amanda was raised in Melbourne, but the calling of sunshine took her to Queensland for 14 years. During this time she studied Vet science and graduated the University of Queensland in July 2016. After working in a small animal clinic for a year, she decided to move back to Melbourne with her partner and fur family. She began working for Ultimate Vet Clinic in November 2017.
Amanda's passion is Feline medicine. Having been owned by cats all her life, she very much understands their actions, behaviours and how to handle them. She can’t wait to meet your furry felines and help them be the healthiest and happiest cat possible.
At home, Amanda has 3 domestic cats – Reginald, Mary and Eddie. An Australian Cattle Dog – Kimmie, and a Staffy – Ruby. When not busy with all the animals she enjoys spending time at the beach.
Dr Andrea joined our team in June 2020. She has been working in Melbourne for a small time after returning home from 4 years working in the UK. She has a keen interest in small animal surgery, particularly orthopaedics and reconstructive surgery, and always looks forward to having cuddles with our patients both big and small.
Originally from Queensland, she can usually be found exploring Melbourne's restaurants and scuba diving on her days off. She is joined by Spartacus, an English cat who is loving his new Australian home.
Kylie completed her veterinary nursing certificates II, III and IV in 1999/2000 while working as a junior with Dr Bob. She then went on to do her emergency/critical care and advanced surgery certificate. After working for 4 years with Dr Bob and working on weekends in an emergency centre, Kylie realised that surgery was her passion and left to work along side an orthopeadic surgical specialist for 4 years.
Kylie moved to Queensland for a while and worked at a large emergency, medical and specialist centre but got to home sick from family not the cold weather, so moved back to Melbourne.
Kylie joined the Ultimate team when opened in 2011 and excited to be working alongside Dr Bob again after returning from maternity leave.
Kylie has 2 children Abbey and Declan and 2 four legged pets “Floyd” a Rotti and a very cheeky Saint Bernard!
